What are your scrapping plans for this last weekend of 2007?

Oh lets see....for the last weekend in 2007, I am going to try and scrap as much as possible! I have some 6x6 recipe cards I need to get done for a swap and I need to keep working on my parent's anniversary scrapbook. Tomorrow, Saturday, I have a 6 on 6 co-ed volleyball tournament, so not much will get done tomorrow in the way of scrapping, but hopefully today and Sunday, I will get quite a bit done!

It is snowing here like a mad man here! First we got snow like crazy and now it is a sleet/snow mix and then we are suppose to have rain after that! So I am hoping that the rain does not freeze, but with it only being 28 degrees tonight, I can see it freezing over :(

What projects are you ready to start?

Now that Christmas is over, I need to get back into scrapping. I have 6x6 recipes that I need to do for swaps and I am also working on my mom and dad's anniversary scrapbook for their, I am hoping, 30th anniversary, which is in a couple of years! Starting extremely early, since I am doing pictures from when they were little so the 60's up til now. Plus, I am a picture fanatic, so there are always pictures to add! I also need to update my book from pictures from Christmas.

I also need to get my scrapbook room around. Need to take the extra bed out and organize everything once and for good! It seems like I am always organizing my scrapbooking things all the time and it drives me nuts...lol

So, I think that is about it for projects that I need to do for scrapbooking. If I go into the projects I need to do that are not scrapbooking, the list would never stop....lol

Are you going to the after Christmas sales?

I WISH!!!! LOL I thought about it because I want some more Christmas decorations, but I thought i better just save my money instead, because I have my school loans kicking in, which is a HUGE chunk of money each month, on top of other bills.

So, unfortunately no I am not. Plus, the day after Christmas is crazy, it reminds me of the day after Thanksgiving :) I wish I am able to go, but I am trying to be a little smarter with money!

If you are going out shopping today, have fun, be careful, and spends lots of money....lol :)

A memory made with family & friends

Well, since it was Christmas yesterday and running all over the place, I did not get to blog yesterday, so I thought I would blog twice today :)

I have many memories from Christmas this year...Seeing all of the family. My cousin's kids are getting sooo big and they are just adorable! I took so many pictures yesterday. The greatest thing about yesterday is that we made by grandfather, who is going to be 80 this year, and my step-grandma a 7x7 album for Christmas, because they never want anything for Christmas anyways, so me and my mom decided to do a 7x7 album. It turned out really good. There are a couple of blank pages and pages that are not finished because we wanted to put a picture of all the grandchildren and then there was a picture of the 4 oldest grandchildren from when we were younger, so we took another picture and we have a THEN picture and a NOW picture to add to it when we print it off! So that is defintely my best memory from Christmas this year!!

Hope you all had a great Christmas!!!

What are your Christmas Eve plans?

Well, let's see, Christmas Eve plans....I just got back from getting my hair cut. Which I love now! We are suppose to be going to Fort Wayne, dinner is at 4pm and am defintely going to late! My deviled eggs are not done, I am still waiting for them to boil and they still have to cool! So defintely going to be late there!!

After Fort Wayne nothing special going on, just coming back home and relaxing the rest of the night. Probably watch TV, movies, play around on the internet, do some puzzles/crosswords, or play video games. Not really sure what I will do.

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

The weather....

The weather is sooooo crappy in my area!! It is crazy here! Winds that are gusting over 40mph, with some snow, but it is just blowing away :) The last time I looked at the temperature online it showed 19 degrees, but feels like zero!! I believe it too. It was is crazy to drive in, all over the road, some people are driving so slow while others are just flying by doing 90...lol

So the weather is pretty crappy here. I would be fine with the weather, if it was not for the wind, but the wind is out of control. I am happy with just snow!

A memory from a holiday celebration in school

I remember doing a few plays during the holiday season. Scrooge and The Electric Sunshine Man, which was about Thomas Edison and the light bulb. I was in the choir for scrooge and had a dancing part on stage with a boy in The Electric Sunshine Man play. Oh and we also had to wear black pants, a white shirt, and suspenders!! I hated suspenders, but when I look back on it, everyone looked so cute in them...lol

I also remember all the holiday parties we had in school. The food, the parents coming in, making decorations for the classroom and the hallways. We also made presents for our mom and dad to take home to them for Christmas. We never got to take them home any earlier than the last day we were in school before break...guess the teachers thought that we would be so excited about them and just give our parents the gifts. Which is probably true!!

Write about one of the five senses (related to your winter experience)

Well, since I could not just pick one of the five senses, I am going to do something short for all of them!

**The smells of winter
I love the smell of cookies baking and cinnamon and vanilla candles burning.

**The sights of winter
What is there not to love about the sights of winter? Everything is so gorgeous when it is covered with snow.

**The sounds of winter
I just love the sound of snow falling down out of the trees, the buzzer on the oven and just knowing that the fresh cookies are done and are reading to be frosted and decorated, and soon enough, eaten :)

**The touch of winter
Snowballs!! What else is there to say?!

**The tastes of winter
Cookies, pies, food. I love winter because it means I get to bake and eat cookies that are usually just made at Christmas time in my family!

What is one thing you look forward to during these last few days before Christmas?

Well, this is my first time posting a blog. I got my blog topic from 2peas in a bucket.

I defintely look forward to relaxing, even though all of my Christmas shopping is not quite done yet. So until that is done, which I am hoping to have it done at least by Saturday, then I can enjoy relaxing, and help bake Christmas cookies, since it is a yearly tradition within my family, for all us kids to get together at mom and dad's and help bake, frost, and decorate, her billion cookies that she makes!

I am also looking forward to enjoying all this snow we got Sunday night and throughout Monday!
