OMG!! It's been forever! Updates!

Oh my goodness, well it has been forever, since I have been on here! It has been about three months and a lot has happened in the last three months!

Starting with...my lil' nephew Connor....what a cutie pie! I call him my little pumpkin or buddha. He is a chunky little thing, but a cutie! He is getting soo big and he can eat too!! He is always smiling it seems like. Since a happy little boy!

My brother Aaron...wow is he getting big!! I mean height wise. He is pushing 6 feet! I am probably fit almost both of my feet in his shoe! He is wearing a size 12 shoe and is in 7th grade! He is growing soo fast. I see him quite a bit, but his height and shoe size just amazes me everytime!

My mom and dad are doing great! Dad is still working from home! He is a biek fanatic!! He is crazy with the bike. He has lost a lot of weight and looks better and he says he feels sooo much better. He just bought a bike like what they ride in the tour de france. He said he wants to get up to riding 100 miles a day. I am trying to get him to ride in the hilly hundred, but we will see....My mom is working at the college. The kids are on break so it is a little more quite around there. She has been sick lately. She was actually suppose to babysit the grandson but became sick, so I went over to mom and dad's house and got to babysit the little guy for the day while Aaron and Nick went hunting for a couple of hours. Which they got nothing. Mom and dad finally got their Christmas decorations up the day before their lil' towns Christmas decorating contest. We haven't heard if they have won or not, but it's a 100 dollars, so it's nice, because every little bit helps!

My sister is working at Toys R Us part-time for right now, until she can find a better job. She wants to go back to school and do nursing now. She is doing good, she has lost quite a bit of her babyfat, which she is super psyched about. Her wedding reception is in April. So, she is starting to get around for that....very very very slowly...no invites out yet, no party favors started, nothing. I should say mom and dad have started getting it around!

Her husband Nick is....well...Nick. I don't have anything else to really say about him. He is just working full-time at his job, which he works like 3 or 4 days a week for 12 hours or something like that.

My aunt Lin, who had asphagus cancer is doing great! We went down there for Thanksgiving, well I should say, me, mom, dad, Aaron and the dog Cocoa went down there for Thanksgiving. Jaime doesn't do anything too much with us anymore unless it fits in her schedule. She doesn't really rearrange things around like me and Cory do. Anyways...touchy subject there! We went down to Aunt Lin's house and she has lost sooo much weight. She is sooo little now! She does better. She has great energy and a great view on life! We all went shopping the day after Thanksgiving. We were out and at the stores when they opened at 4am. My mom and me went to JCPenney and Aunt Lin and Dad went to Wal-mart to grab a few things when they could at 5am!

Cory is doing great! Such a sweetheart! And does everything I tell him to do....LMAO...just kidding. He is just working. He did work some overtime a couple of weeks ago and wow was it nice to have those checks!! He is playing co-ed volleyball with me this winter, so that should be interesting with the team we through together to play. We are in the lowest league at the recreation center which is great because we are just playing for fun and to get us out of the house throughout the winter over the weekend! We like to be hermits during the winter because it has been sooo cold!!

I am doing great. I have offically been working at my current job for over a year now. Which is good and sad at the same time! I was hoping to be teaching by now, but money is tight and school is soo expensive to start back up right now. But someday, I hope I will be teaching. I want to start taking one class every semester til I finish by degree, which at that pace could be 2 or 3 years. So, I am thinking with the online classes I may take 2 at a time, because they are easy and do not last that long and I do not have to drive anywhere, which is always the bonus!

2peas Challenge~Do you have a retreat or big event you look forward to every year?

Do you have a retreat or big event you look forward to every year?

I do have a big event that I look forward to every year now! Last year we attended Katie Weis Memorial Foundation, which is for a little girl that passed away. She was struck by a car when she was only 9 in September of 2004. Last year was the first year we went and I loved it. Especially the fact that the whole fundraiser went towards scholarships for students graduating from high school!

There were all kinds of venders there, Mary Kay, Avon, Creative Memories and a bunch of other ones! We had lunch and dinner. There were also silent auctions for soo many different gifts from Bath and Body Works, Creative Memories, and Pampered Chef. We also had door prizes and raffles throughout the day as well! Me, my sister, and my mom went, it was from 10am til 9pm. It was a load of fun. It was a Hawaiian theme last year. We are curious to what the theme will be there is year!

Also, they made about $3,000 from the silent auctions, the payment to get in which was $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Along with what the vendors donated to the foundation. Plus on top of it all, Wal-mart matched whatever they made, so they made almost $6,000 for the scholarships! It was great!

So, yea, me, my sister, and my mom are defintely looking forward to the big event in February, plus she said it gives her time to spend the day with her daughters doing something we all love to do, without interruptions from the men....lol

September 6, 2008

Well, it has been forever it seems like since I have blogged! I have got to get better at blogging more than just a few times a month....lol

Well, today I had to work. I had Friday off and got out early on Thursday. My work is defintely cutting hours down. They are a seasonal place and it is suppose to be busy but it's not. I work for a pontoon place, people can store them there for the winter get all kinds of stuff done and buy parts and furniture and all that good jazz from them. But with the economy and the way it is, it is a little rough at my place of work!

Anyways....worked today, got out a little bit early...not too much just a half hour. Then I went to my mom and dad's house. Jaime, Nick and my new little nephew Connor Lee was there. My mom's dad and step-mom were there and then, me, my dad, my mom, and Aaron the youngest of us three kids were there. We got together because grandpa and grandma have not seen the new great-grandchild so...we were suppose to get together tomorrow, but my dad has a reunion to go to on his side. Unfortunately, I do not know many people at this reunion that he is going to because I think it is his dad's side and there are/is like 12 kids, and we don't see them like we do my dad's brothers and sisters families.

Anyways...we had a HUGE dinner! Chicken and hamburgers on the grill, two veggie trays, squash, baked beans and macaroni salad along with angel food cake, apple crisp and ice cream for dessert! After supper and picking up everything, we passed around the new baby! lol. He is such a cutie! He is pushing 9 lbs already and he is not quite a month old yet. Later this week he will be!

I have been doing quite a bit of scrapping this week! I have over 20 pages done this week and month so far! I am super excited. I think this is the most scrapping I have done in a while...at least it seems that way! With fall and winter coming things tend to slow down and almost drop around here. I love winter, but sometimes it is sooo cold I just do not want to go anywhere....lol

WELCOME TO THE WORLD CONNOR LEE!!

Well...my sister had her baby!!! Connor Lee Martin was born at 7lbs. 14 ozs. and 20 inches long. He was born around 7pm Sunday night!!

I went up the hospital and arrived in the town right after he was born. I went and sat with my mom and dad in the waiting room at the hospital, til Jaime's husband, Nick came and got us!

THE BABY IS GORGEOUS!!! He is sooo sweet! He did not have any blotches whatsoever! He was sooo cute! Grandma and Grandpa held him first, my parents, and then I did. Nick's parents did not come up to the hospital. Not really sure why, but that's between them I guess. We stayed for a little bit. Jaime did great! She did end up having an epideral because she could not deal with the pain anymore. Her contractions were lasting about a minute and a half. She had some back pain. But she had no swelling and she needed no stitches, which is great for her! She is so little as it is!

We took quite a few pictures, which I will try to get posted. I still don't have there wedding pictures posted on here yet...lol....I'm a little behind now! LOL

After spending a little bit with Jaime, Nick and Connor, me, my mom and dad went to eat at Applebee's and say and talked for a little bit and then headed to Wal-mart, to print some pictures off at that picture in minutes machine, but they had the thing shut off! How disappointing! It was like 10:30 or something like that, so I guess I understand why, but it just sucked. Mom wanted to get them made to take them into work and show the ladies at work.

Finally, I got home about 11pm and decided to upload the pictures and email them to mom and dad so they can have them for work and to show everyone! My parents are soo excited about the new baby. Not soo excited about being called grandpa and grandma because it makes them feel old....lol

I worked yesterday and only part of today. My cramps are extremely bad today, so I left a little bit early today. I am good if I curl up in a ball, other times I am fine. I guess it just depends on when my body feels like putting me down for a while...lol...anyways...other than that not much else going on. I have been laying around since I got home on the couch, watching TV, taking little catnaps, curling up with the heating pads and the cats, playing a few video games and doing a little reading. I am more about the nap thing and the heating pads right now though!

2peas Challenge and some rambling!

2peas Challenge: When you go on vacation and take lots of pics... Do you try to scrap them all or just some?

Yeah, when I do go on vacation, I take tons and tons of pictures! I am sooo a picture person. I take my camera almost everywhere I go now! I do try to scrap them all. But if some are the same picture, I do not scrap them. Sometimes at different angles or if there are different faces or something's going on in the picture, I try to make a page out of it and scrap what I can. I do like to try and scrap all the pictures if I can. I do have things that make me not want to scrap them, but that is defintely a rare occasion! lol

Now for some general rambling:

Well, not too much going on here. Worked six days last week, cannot say I am at all excited about that. Getting kind of sick of that ordeal!

My sister went into the hopital last night with contractions. She actually had them start Friday, but they were an hour apart, than 45 minutes, than 15 minutes, than 7 minutes and than they went back to an hour, so they did not go in Friday. She calls Connor her little monster and it sounds like he is gonna be the way he kicks her in the same spot all the time. She is defintely ready for him to come out!

Well, they went into the hospital last night and they broke her water. As of right now, 5:30pm she is still in labor and she is in and out taking naps. They gave her the good stuff because she could not deal with the pain. Her contractions were lasting over a minute and a half and she does not do well with pain!

So, mom and dad headed up there, which there is a whole story to that, but not going to start with that, because it just angers me with her husband (my brother in law now) but anyways....she has still not had the baby. The doctor is suppose to come in, in a bit and let everyone know what is going on. So mom and dad are sitting in the waiting room. I am going to be heading up here soon. I was in the middle of cleaning the bathroom and washing laundry when they called, so I am trying to get the laundry done as soon as possible and then they will call when the doctor lets them know what is going on and then I will probably head up. I should just head up now, but me in a waiting room will drive my parents nuts. I cannot sit still very well knowing that my lil' sister is in there and I cannot see her! Drives my bonkers!!!

Anyways....I just thought I would update you all. I have not done to well at keeping up with this, we have been crazy busy with work and spending time with the family and spending some time with Jaime!!

2peas Challenge~~How do you store photos that you do no use in scrapbooking?

How do you store photos that you do no use in scrapbooking?

I try not to have too many photos left over when scrapbooking. I try to order just what I need to scrap. Where if I took pictures of my dad's birthday, I would get 2 made, one for my book and one for my mom and dad's. It all just depends on what the pictures are. If I do have left over pictures, I usually put them in a photo box or the plastic 4x6 sleeves.

Well....not much is going on this week. Worked today. Yesterday, I was going to scrapbook, I only ended up getting one page done, because I looked around and was like I really need to clean this place up. So, I ended up doing the dishes, laundry, cleaning the bathroom, livingroom, bedroom, swept the floors, moved some things around. Put away dishes, cleaned up the refrigerator, put away my pots and pans that I have had for years and have never used. So I thought I would get them out in case one day I may actually want to use the rest of them...lol

Other than that not much going on. My sister's baby, Connor Lee, turned about two weeks ago and now she finally dropped. She is due August 9th, so I am sooo excited to see my little nephew! I am sooo excited to be an aunt too!!

2peas Challenge~~For today's challenge, what is something about people (in general) that really irritates you?

What is something about people (in general) that really irritates you?

Boy oh boy where do I start? LOL. I have totally been irritated with some people lately! Especially at work!!

Some things that irritate my in general about people are the ones that treat everyone like they are dumb or that they think they know more than they think they do. Also, I love (sarcasm) it when people talk loud when there is no need for it indoors especially when you are on the phone talking with someone. Oh...and...when people do not put shit back when they are done with it and just leave it laying around.

I just get to the point now when I am irritated about something or someone, I just leave it alone or the person and do not talk to them and do not worry about it. My patience is very thin lately, especially for people that treat people like they are idiots. Oh yeah, I also get irritate with people that think they do sooo much and in reality they do not do much at all or just do not give a crap about what they are doing or who they are hurting.

Sorry, everyone, this is my vent right now. People have been irritating the crap out of me lately because my patience for certain people has just disappeared.

Well, moving on.....away from the venting....Nothing too much going on. The weather has been very hot and muggy. Just been working 6 days a week and trying to enjoy my Sunday's off when I can.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY JAIME!!

I wanted to wish my younger sister a Happy Belated Birthday! I called her yesterday to wish her a happy birthday, but didn't get to talk to her! She is turning 23!

We are going to mom and dad's today to celebrate Jaime's birthday. Which usually consists of eating a huge meal, Jaime's cake and presents, and then sitting around looking through ads for a little bit. Nothing too exciting but the whole family enjoys it!

Not too much else has been going on. Working six days a week from 8am til 5pm or a little bit after 5pm. After work I just pretty much go home and relax, play some video games, watch television, or do a few little things around the house.

For the fourth of July, Me, mom and Jaime went to the cottage, just us three girls, and scrapped all weekend, oh yea and Cocoa the dog, who is also a girl, so the four of us girls went to the cottage...lol. I went up Thursday after work with mom and Cocoa and we went into town, picked up a few things and went out to eat. We got all our stuff ready to go to scrap and we started a little bit, but did not get much done.

On Friday, Jaime came up to the cottage. The goal for the weekend was to get Jaime's wedding album done so we would have it for next year at the reception. (Long story short: We had a small wedding for her, 30 people and a little reception. She was pregnant when she got married, so she wanted to get married before having the baby. So, next year on the same date, she is having a wedding reception where there will be a ton more people) So, we wanted to get the album done so it can be on display next year at the reception.

So, we worked on it all day Friday and all day Saturday. Well, most of Saturday, we took a few hours and ran into town because we ran out of the colors we were doing her book in. Which were black, white and maroon (her actual wedding color was Apple). But we did almost get it done! When I left Saturday night, they had maybe 25 pages to decorate and that was it and then they were done. The book was over 60 pages long, so I thought we did damn well, considering, we did this in a weekend!

I can honestly say that we have never gotten an entire album or even that many pages done in the time that we did. We did a 12x12 album and the pages and the decorating looked gorgeous for the wedding album. Not too full but not bare looking either!

Other than the fourth, not too much has been going on. Jaime's baby, Connor Lee, has turned so it is just a matter of time before the baby comes. Her actual due date is August 9th, so we will see how close she is to her due date.

Work is going okay. Lots of hours, but I need the money, so it is worth it. There are days where I get there and are more than ready to go home and pray that 5pm rolls around very quick! I do have lots to keep me busy at work, but everyone has those days, I'm sure, where you just do not want to do anything and are ready to go home the minute you walk in the door....lol.

Monday

Well it's Monday. My oh my how fast a weekend goes when you have one day off! Well, I finally finished the Thank You cards for my sister for her baby shower. I made her 50 so hopefully she likes them!!

Not too much happened this weekend. Worked Saturday 8am til 5pm, which is always exciting...lol AFter that went to Wal-Mart and spend over $100.00 on...I don't even know....sure cannot get much anymore for $100.00.

Sunday, not too much happened. The weather was gorgeous and then got rainy and then got sunny and then rainy again. It was just nice weather than crappy weather. Did some laundry and watched some movies, Mr. Woodcock, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, The Black Snack Moan (something that was on one of the movie channels and had Samuel L. Jackson, and the Simpsons movie. I also worked on the rest of my sister's Thank You's while watching movies. Other than that not too much else went on this weekend. Just kind of laid around and relaxed Sunday, which was kind of nice for a change.

Today, I went to my mom and dad's to see my mom since my dad is in Florida for work til at least Thursday. So, I dropped of my sister's thank you's at my parents house and sat and talked to my mom for a couple of hours. Usually we don't get to talk without interruptions, since Aaron, my brother, was who knows where, we just sat and talked. It was really nice!

IT'S FRIDAY!!!

YAY!! It's Friday, but unfortunately I have to work tomorrow 8am til 5pm. It makes it for a long week but it is a nice check.
Other than work nothing much else is going on. Cleaning little by little everday trying to get things the way I want them. Watching some television throughout the week and sleeping. Nothing too exciting here. lol
I also have been working on my sister's baby shower thank you's. That is about the only scrapbooking I have been doing lately.
I am exited about ordering my pictures. I ordered over 600 photos from CVS at 12cents each plus every 50 you bought you got 20 free. So for six dollars I got 70 pictures, so I am super excited about that!! I had pictures of Jaime and Nick's wedding, Jaime's baby shower, and other pictures I have had on my camera made!
So for now I guess that is about it. Nothing too exciting going on around here. Which is kind of depressing, but hey it works.....lol

MY SISTER'S BABY SHOWER

Well, we finally got my sister's baby shower over! I love her and loved doing everything for her for the baby shower, but WOW!!! I was up all night Friday working on things. I went to bed at 6am and was back up at 6:45am to finish things up!

I met my mom and my aunt at the church about 10 or 10:30am and started setting things up. My aunt worked in the kitchen after we got the tables set up the way we wanted. Then we put the covering on the tables and started setting up the party favors, which were little bottles we got from Michael's and Joann's. We filled those with little candies shaped like pacifiers! Then we put a ribbon with a charm that said it's a boy with little fot prints and had my sister, Jaime write 'Thank You Love Nick, Jaime, and Connor' on them and we put that on the ribbon as well! We then had name tags for everyone. We cut out little booties from the New Arrival cricut cartridge and put ribbon through the top holes of them! We had little glitter pieces that had bottles, It's A Boy, pacifiers and everything on the table sprinkled in the middle. We also had centerpieces with 3 balloons and a cute little weight that my aunt made to tie the balloons to.

As for food, we had sooo much food. Mind you we set up for 64 because we 36 definite 'yes' calls and his family, which do not even get me started on, only had a few RSVP's but we were told to expect all of them unless they called with a definite 'no'. Well, we had maybe 30 and that may of been pushed, which I was not happy about at all. We made enough things for at least 70 because it seems like noone RSVP's anymore, which sucks. So anyways...back to the food.....lol....We had pin wheels of different flavors, which are the soft taco shells with cream cheese and meat in them, we had different flavored shells like spinach and tomato and my aunt made three different kinds of cream cheese mixes. One was chives and garlic, another one had salsa and I cannot remember the third one, but they were all yummy! We also had some fruit and veggie trays with dips, chips and some velveeta and chili cheese dip, a crapload of meatballs, eclairs, a secret family recipe to punch. We also had tea, coffee, and hazelnut coffee to drink. Also, we had rice krispie treats, because my sister loves them! That is all I can think of right now....lol

We also had some problems, first of all, we ran out of helium, so my mom went to go get two helium tanks to make sure we would not run out! Then Jaime's friend, who lives down the street from us and is considered another little sister of mine, was running a little late and was suppose to pick up the cake and I was glad she didn't! My mom went to get it and instead of making a 1/2 sheet cake they only made 1/4 sheet cake, even though the paper they had showed that they needed a 1/2 sheet cake, which really surprised us because we have ordered sooo many cakes from them and have never had a problem until now, so I was not all happy with them about that, because my mom had to make another trip back into town to get the cake!

Well, 2pm comes around which is the time that the baby shower is to start and noone is there, so about 2:20 people start coming in little by little. So, while my aunt finished up in the kitchen, we played a couple of games. We played one with 'JAIME NICOLE MARTIN' at the top and we gave them 5 minutes to come up with as many names out of her name as possible. WHich the winner got a gift and of course Jaime got a gift. For gifts we had lotion, these cute laterns that my aunt got from Hobby Lobby, some cute magnets, and some potted plants. Well, after that game, we played Baby Bingo, which we made all on our own. We used the New Arrival and Doodlecharm cartridge to design out squares. We had Baby Shower Bingo across the top and BINGO in the five different pastel colors that everything, like the bottles were in. So for the squares we had the word 'BABY' has the free space and then we had bottles, rattles, booties, ducks, teddy bears, diaper pins, and a couple other things but I cannot think of them right now...lol We also had a door prize which was a cutting board that my grandfather made out of 5 different types of wood, which my cousin's little daughter won!

Jaime got a lot of great things! We had asked everyone to bring books rather than cards, which was a great turn out! She got soooo many books, which she was excited about, because now they have a library for Connor! She got a bunch of cute outfits, some bottles, toys, tons and tons of blankets, both handmade and bought, handmade towels, an Eddie Bauer jumper, changing table, stuffed animals, Connor's bedding for his crib, she got the crib set from his side of the family, diapers, lotions, baby shampoo and body wash, my mom and dad bought her a rocking chair, hangers, baby shoes, and soooooo much more!

Overall, things went okay, I was disappointed in the turnout! He had 9 people from his side including two children, then JAime had three friends from school, Sherry, Casey, and MaryEllen who are pretty much family, and then our side of the family! Everyone was great and seem to have fun with everything! I did have some family members really start to piss me off by the way they were acting, throwing food and talking and shit while Jaime is showing everyone what she got as she opened it and the comments from the family members about what she was getting and reading while I am trying to write everything down that she is getting from who and was really starting to irritate me. I more am less got upset and was just about to lose it and just be like ya know this is her baby shower, shut up and enjoy it. I mean there was one that said she would much rather be at the diaper party, which is the male side of the baby shower, because there would be beer and it would be more fun. That set me off!!! I did keep my cool though, but I was just at awww with that comment. I was hurt and could not believe she said that to my mom and me!! I mean my mom, me and my aunt worked our butts off to make this great for Jaime and then I have family members that do and pull that crap! Trust me I was not happy at all! This was my sister's day and it seemed like they were trying for the attention from everyone, which is just wrong, when it someone's day like that, you just shut up and go with everything no matter what you think or have to say. Am I wrong about that and thinking that?

But anyways...things went well. She is very happy with everything that she got and how the party went overall!!

It's Defintely Been A While!!!

Well, it has been quite some time since I have blogged and since I actually have nothing going on today, thought I might as well!

Things have been crazy!! Working 50-60 hours a week at work, planning my sister's baby shower and working on invitations, favors, decorations, etc...for her shower which is on May 31st! Totally excited. Right now I think we have 10 people coming that we know of that have called, me, my mom, or my sister. I have a feeling my sister's husband side of the family will just show up, which kind of pisses me off! I have made over 65 invitations to send out...crazy!! My mom and I are working on her favors for the party, which are the little baby bottles with candy in them. Then we made a tag for them, put some blue and white ribbon on them and a little 'It's A Boy' charm on them...they are super cute. I hope to get pictures on here of them. I am still working on her wedding pictures....lol

Other than working and planning her baby shower. Not much else is going on. Went shopping yesterday in Jackson, got some cute cute cute stuff for my sister as a baby shower gift for Connor Lee!! I just love that name!! I also picked up some things for me as well...Victoria Secret perfume, since I am totally out of perfume, had to get some. Unfortunately they don't have the kind I like anymore, at least that I know of, they did not have it in the store, I had to get something else, but I like that just as much!

So...today I am catching up on laundry, doing a little bit of cleaning, since I just walk in and throw stuff down somedays, so I need to pick it up so it's a little bit more presentable! I am also going to be doing some scrapbooking today!! YAY!!! We are suppose to have co-ed volleyball, but I guess two of our guys, which we are playing 4 on 4 co-ed volleyball right now, are playing in a tournament and their next game is at 7:15 or 7:30 and our volleyball game is at 7:30, so I am not at all excited about possibly not playing tonight, when we only have 6 games this season because it's 4 on 4.

Two Peas Challenge:
If you could follow someone around for one day (unseen), who would it be and why?

If I could follow someone around for one day and not be seen I would follow around The President of the United States of America because I am curious what in the world he does all day. I am also curious of their meetings inside the White House and how those go about daily. I also want to see what the inside of the entire White House looks like! I am curious just how much sleep the President and his wife actually gets and if the President does more of the decision making the nation or if his wife has quite a bit input and decision making. Mainly, I am curious about everything the President does!

Two Peas Challenge and some rambling

You win a scholarship to go back to school for any four-year degree you want. What will you study?

If I could go back to school for any four-year degree I would go back and study for becoming a doctor or a dentist. I know it would take more than four years, but if my first 4 years are paid for then I would gladly pay for the rest, because I would make up for it after I got my degree....lol.

Honestly, if I only had four years and after four years that was it, I would go back to be a teacher. Which is what I want to do now, but I have not quite finished everything to become a teacher in the state of Michigan. I kind of gave up after I got booted out...lol

Anyways.....the weather has been crazy. It was a nice day temperature wise, but it has been raining on and off....some sprinkling, some thunder and lightening, and just some down pouring! It has been a crazy past couple of weeks. Last week it was in the low 50's, even got down to 28 degrees one night.

Not too much else going on other than working. I am working 6 days this week, I have to work tomorrow 8am til 5pm :( My weekends are very very short, but I make decent money, which I defintely need for student loans!

What A Week!!!!

What a week it has been!!! Especially at work!

Work is just crazy...I work for a pontoon place, they do re-deck's, sell all kinds of goodies for your pontoon and other things not so much for pontoons, like dog vests, dog ladders, and tubes for tubing and so much more! Well anyways....our open house started yesterday, Thursday and runs through Sunday. This is the only Sunday we will work throughout the year, but we are working from Monday through next Saturday. We are working 13 out of 14 days!! It's crazy!! But the open house is going great, we have fre refreshments from hotdogs on the grill to a veggie tray, donuts, and popcorn and pop!! It's a lot of fun. This is my first time every experiencing this, so it could be a real treat tomorrow, Saturday!

Anyways...the weather has been gorgeous here in good ol' Michigan. It was about 80 degrees today, but guess what?!?! Next week we have a day calling for snow showers and a couple of 40 degree highs next week...go figure!! I love Michigan.

As for my sister's baby shower, my mom told my aunt about how I felt and I am going back to what I originally wanted to do, which I am happy about, because she is my sister and it is my nephew. So I am slowly getting things around for that. I have 16 invitations done out of about 60. We are doing both sides of the family, which we will see how that goes, and her friends from school and whoever else she wanted, so we have about 60 people for now. Whether or not all 60 show up, who knows!!

Not much else is going on right now, just work, work, and some stuff for Jaime's baby shower....lol

Have a great rest of the night!

Two Peas In A Bucket Daily Challenge: Whats the last good movie you say? What did ya like about it?

The last good movie I saw was actually last night at my parent's house, me, my Aunt Linda, Aunt Sue, and my mom watched The Gameplan with the Rock. It was soooo cute! I just loved the whole movie...I thought the Rock was funny, the little girl was cute, kind of a brat sometimes throughout the movie, but it was a very cute movie. This is defintely one that I will be buying and watching over and over again. I really liked the ending as well! (Which I won't say anything about in case people have not seen the movie and would like to!) I don't want to spoil it for others!

Not much happening today. We, me, my mom, Aunt Sue, and Aunt Linda, got things around a little better and more organized for the baby shower that I am throwing for my sister. I wanted to do it myself, but with the way work is going and by time I get home at night I am not in the mood to be planning a shower, so I asked the three of them to help pick some things up for me, since the date is getting closer and closer! I had one baby shower invitation done, as an example, and thought it looked good, well now I guess we are doing a safari themed baby shower, since my sister is doing the baby's room in a safari theme. Not too excited about it but whatever. I was not in the mood to argue with anyone yesterday!

So, I guess today after I take a walk and shower I am going to have to design the baby shower invitations all over again, because I do want to scrapbook them rather than buy them or print them off the computer! So that is probably pretty much my day right now!

My Sister's Wedding!!

WOW!! What a great day yesterday! My younger sister got married yesterday at 4:30pm! It was a great day....long....but great!
Our Aunt Sue and Uncle Ken from Grand Rapids came down. Our Aunt Linda from Columbus came up, unfortunately her husband, our Uncle Dave, could not get off work, so he missed the wedding. So they have been up here at the parent's house since Wednesday and Thursday helping get things around for her favors, cooking the food, since they just made the food for the wedding, decorations, etc....
Jaime and Nick's wedding was a very small. Immediate family, grandparent's, aunts and uncles, and for his side his close friends, because he had his mom and dad, brother, who was his best man, both grandma's and two aunts and the rest were close friends. They each had about 10-15 people both sides. Our side had Grandpa and Grandma-Teddy (my mom's parents), Aunt Judy (my mom's sister), Aunt Sue and Uncle Ken (Aunt Sue is our dad's sister) Aunt Linda (Also my dad's sister), Sherry, Russ, and Casey Face, who we consider our other family down the road. Sherry took all the pictures with help from her hubby Russ. Of course our younger brother, Aaron.
I went to work from 7:30am til noon and then went and picked up Jaime at my mom and dad's house and we went over to Hillsdale and got our hair done at Attitude's. 90 dollars to get our hair done plus tips! Crazy! After we went to Attitudes, I went and dropped Jaime off at the parent's house and I went back to work for an hour and a half (I was on OT all day and I need the money!) Then about 3pm I left and went to the church. Jaime and I sat around in the nursery for a little bit while people came in and out to see her realy quick before the wedding.
Sherry took pictures while we got dressed, nothing revealing, well other than Nick, she walked in toe get pictures and he was in his boxers, so he struck a pose and she snapped...lol....she came down and told us about it and we just laughed.
We started getting around, it takes Jaime about 20 minutes to get in her dress, because it had to be laced down the back, but it was a gorgeous dress!
Then after getting around, getting her laced up, I got dressed, mom got dressed, we put flowers on everyone, the grandparents, aunts, parents, etc...well not everyone, but pretty close.
Finally, we got the show on the road....lol
The ceremony was great, it was about 30 minutes maybe a few minutes longer, which I loved and my feet defintely loved!! LOL
After the ceremony we went outside for a little bit for a few pictures since it was such a gorgeous day out! We then proceeded back into the sanctuary for pictures with the families, while others went to the room where the reception was being held. We had soooooo many pictures taken!
I went through them and there is probably over 450 on one disc just from the wedding day, pictures with all the families, reception, etc...Plus, the rehearsal pictures from the night before and pictures from everyone else's cameras. I had a bunch taken with mine, Jaime had a bunch taken with hers, we have some from when we went and got our hair done on the old school camera with film...lol...so I bet we have over 700 pictures, which is great! I went through over 500 pictures last night between Sherry's disc from the day of the wedding, then I went through a bunch more picutres from the rehearsal and then what I had on my camera! I went through pictures for about 2 hours last night after I got home and put them on my computer, because my parent's want the disc's to get pictures made!
Okay, back to the wedding......Well after we got all the pictures done in the sanctuary we went to the place where the reception was, which was just another room in the church right by the kitchen. They had it set up very nice. One of the ladies from the church made the cake for Jaime and Nick free of charge, which was nice (but Jaime and Nick gave her money and a gift card and a great thank you card for making it) The cake was gorgeous. The four of us, Jaime and Nick, me and Adam (Nick's brother and best man) were at a table in the middle of everyone, since it was so small, they had it set up kind of like a "U" shape and had the four of us in the middle, so everyone just stared at us while eating and everything else. It was a little different. But we did have to do speeches. Nick's brother, Adam, wrote his speech on construction paper before the wedding. I wrote mine of the hellium ballon instructions in the kitchen while people were finishing up on their meal....lol...it was pretty last minute for both of us...I got told about it Thursday and totally forgot about it! So, we both just kind of winged it, short and sweet pretty much!
Then they cut the cake, they were nice to one another, they did not shove it in each other's faces, which is what I thought they were going to do, but they were very nice to each other!
After the cake and people started clearing out, we went and finished up a few more pictures with Aunt Lin, Aunt Sue, and Uncle Ken, then we went and changed! YAY!! Jaime had to pee sooo bad, I think I got her unlaced in record time. Well, being pregnant, when you gotta go you gotta go right?! LOL
So, we got out of our dressed and back into our comfy clothes that we came in and picked up downstairs and headed upstairs. Jaime and Nick got around and they were heading to Birch Run and Frankenmouth for their honeymoon right now. They did not want to fly anywhere with Jaime being over 5 months pregnant, plus she is not quite done with school yet. She is a Senior in college. She actually has graduation next Sunday, so it will be a busy couple of weekends for her!
But anyways, they got comfy, said goodbye to everyone else that was there and took off. Nick's friends decorated their car with a bunch of beer cans on the back and writing on the window's and who knows whatelse...lol
So, we stayed after and helped clean up and ran through the church really quick to make sure everything was in place. It took us all about an hour maybe an hour and a half to get everything cleaned up, swept, mopped, dishes washed and all the vehicles packed, which is not too bad I don't think.
So overall, it was a great night and a gorgeous wedding, long day, but it was well worth it!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!! YAY!!!

Well, today I turned 25 years old...a quarter of a century as my parent's keep saying! LOL Not much going on for my birthday. I had to work, I actually got out at 5pm today!!

I went to my mom and dad's house and spent some time there today after work. Mom and dad are working on the house since we have relatives coming down for my sister's wedding which is this Friday already!! Crazy how fast time flies!!

My mom hurt her back somehow...so she is in quite a bit of pain and has to wear a back brace! Dad is working at my sister's house, he was heading out as I was leaving to put their kitchen cabinets in! And my younger brother Aaron was going with him to help him out a litte bit.

I am hoping to do some scrapbooking and get my sister's baby shower invitations, at least, started and like a demo and then I have to go buy more supplies of the ones I like the best. I am doing all different colors and designs for her baby shower invitations, so I am excited about that!

Hope you all have a great night!

Well, the weather is crappy....it is raining...it has been crummy all day...raining, thunder, dark....kind of depressing actually!! But that is Michigan weather for ya!!

Other than that not much else is going on....just working my butt off!!

Have a nice night!

100 Questions I Want Answered

I am part of swap-bot and I am in a swap that has to do with a list of 100. The swap is to do a list of 100 questions that I want answered. They can be any 100 questions. I just put down whatever popped in my head. For tonight, I started at 100 and worked my way back to 50. It is not as easy as it seems, at least I did not think so. That is why I only did 50 for the night and will do 50 hopefully tomorrow night!

The website for the list of 100 is located under my websites! It is a great website and everyone should check it out!

Other than that, I have just been working. I already have 30 hours in this week! It is good money though and I defintely need it!

The weather was nice and now it is just plain crummy. It is not suppose to be above 60 degrees in the next ten days. How crappy :'( Oh well, I do live in Michigan, so I do not expect anything less....lol

Not much else is really going on. Mainly working!!

Have a wonderful rest of the night!!
